At the opening of church services, DeLana went into a prayer call to worship. It sounds traditional; it isn’t. Genuine mix of song, prayer, admiration, and a mild cry of awe comes through this prayer, and as she does so, the congregation follows suit. For a moment, I sense and see (somehow) a mild and subtle flash of individual spirits rise from many members; living spiritual forms; quickly rise and dissapate thirty feet above… (the ceiling in the church is higher than that)
Then the service continues…
I don’t know what this means, and I don’t know who the living spirits are, or why they did what they did. But it seems at least one out of every five members were involved. There were around one hundred people in the congregation, and I sensed at least twenty-or-more spirits rising; in unison, rapid and brief…
Later, during the service, Pastor Myles was preaching, and he mentioned, “when the high priest would ‘burn the incense’ it was a way of cleansing so the high priest could enter the most holy place, where the arc of the covenant is. ..A sweet aroma, representing the prayers of the devoted…”
I can relate to this. He was describing an experience I have had several times. I’ve at times, sensed a sweet aroma in this church and always associate this aroma with the presence of holy spirits, or angels, even “the” Holy Spirit. And this sensation always preceded some vision, inspiration, sensation, or thought in my mind. Several times, I’ve seen, or “perceived physically” and/or felt these spirits in tandom with this sweet aroma.
So, after church, I wanted to ask the pastor about this sweet aroma, as well as his thoughts on what the ascending spirits I saw today could mean.. However, I did not approach him.
